Andi Mack star Peyton Elizabeth Lee has booked her next Disney project.

The star of Disney Channel's groundbreaking teen-centered series — which is coming to an end in July — will next be starring in The Secret Society of Second Born Royals, an original movie for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.

Described as a contemporary princess story, Second Born Royals introduces Sam (Lee) as a rebellious princess who is second in line to the throne of a kingdom called Illyria. Just as Sam's disinterest in the royal way of life is at an all-time high, she is stunned to learn that she has superpowers and belongs to a secret society with a longstanding tradition of covertly keeping the peace throughout the kingdom. The movie follows Sam's adventures at a top-secret training program for a new class of second-born royals tasked with saving the world.

Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect) leads an ensemble cast that includes Elodie Yung (Daredevil), Faly Rakotohavana, Isabella Blake Thomas, Olivia Deeble, Niles Fitch (This Is Us), Ashley Liao and Noah Lomax.

Production begins this month in Toronto.

"We are big fans of Peyton and are thrilled that she and the rest of the cast will bring this exciting world to life for Disney+," said Agnes Chu, senior vp content at Disney+. "We love the themes of self-discovery and empowerment inside Secret Society of Second Born Royals, and our partners at Disney Channel are the perfect team to deliver this movie with adventure, humor and heart."

Andi Mack, which has been hailed for inspiring social change, was created by Terri Minsky and centers on Lee's 13-year-old Andi. After a spring hiatus, the Disney Channel announced that Andi Mack would be ending after three seasons. The series, which featured the first gay storyline on the network, returns in June and will conclude with a series finale on July 26.

The show, which is Disney Channel's most-watched overall and highest-rated among kids 6-14, has been earmarked for Disney+ and will be one of the TV series to be included in Disney's direct-to-consumer platform's library when it launches Nov. 12.

"From the moment we first met Peyton, we knew she was special. It's been an absolute joy to witness her growth as an actor over three seasons of Andi Mack. Her authenticity and confidence will seamlessly complement the talented ensemble cast that will bring this unique story to life," added Judy Taylor, senior vp casting and talent relations at Disney Channels, in a statement.

Lee was recently nominated for a Kid's Choice Award for her starring role on Andi Mack. Her other credits include ABC's Scandal and Showtime's Shameless. She is repped by Gersh.
