The Bravo boldface spoke on the matter while co-hosting 'Live With Kelly' on Friday morning.

Andy Cohen was diagnosed with skin cancer earlier this year, he revealed on Friday.

The Bravo boldface revealed the news while guest co-hosting Live with Kelly with Kelly Ripa. It turns out it was Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, who had noticed a black discoloration on his lip back in April, and "were dogmatic" that he get it checked out.

"I didn’t because I was like, 'Oh no, I’m sure it’s nothing, it's just a black dot.' And she kept on me," Cohen said of a persistent Ripa. "Finally I did, and it was melanoma."

Cohen further noted that "everything is fine now," but the scare is definitely a lifestyle wake-up call.

"I just want to thank you," he told Ripa. "That's a good friend. It really taught me, because I am tanorexic. I love the sun, and I really do, but just be careful. I, of course, never thought that kind of thing would happen to me, and it will change my relationship to the sun. But you really helped me out there. Thank you for staying on me. I'm very grateful that you did that."

Ripa said this is the third time she has spotted skin cancer on a friend.
