Andy Kubitz Promoted to SVP, Program Planning and Scheduling, at CBS
Kelly Kahl, senior executive vice president of the network, calls Kubitz "one of the best young execs in the business."
Andy Kubitz has been promoted to senior vice president, program planning and scheduling at CBS, the network confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter in a statement Wednesday.
Kubitz will continue to be responsible for CBS' primetime scheduling, specials, television and miniseries. He will also contribute to the CW scheduling and coordinating CBS' theatrical acquisitions.
"Andy is one of the best young execs in the business and this promotion reflects some terrific work for us this season," said Kelly Kahl, senior executive vice president, CBS Primetime, to whom he reports.
Kubitz has been at the network for 15 years, and was responsible for the scheduling changes of The Big Bang Theory, Survivor, CSI: Miami and CSI: NY this season.
He has served as vice president, program planning and scheduling since Feb. 2006. Before that, he was director, program planning and scheduling, and prior to that, manager, program planning and scheduling. He began his career as an assistant in the programming and comedy development department.
