"Ang is 24/8," says producer Gil Netter. "I've never met anybody who works harder." Despite it being, as Lee (pictured on the set) says, "the hardest movie I've ever made," the director brought "Pi" in on time and on budget.

Newcomer Joe Alwyn is starring in the project along with Garrett Hedlund.

Ang Lee's Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk has been slated for release on Veterans Day, November 11, 2016.

TriStar and Film4 are partnering with Studio 8 on the project, which is an adaptation of Ben Fountain's novel. Newcomer Joe Alwyn is starring in the project along with Garrett Hedlund.

Simon Beaufoy wrote the screenplay. The film centers around a 19-year-old private (Alwyn) who survives a battle in Iraq, which is captured by news cameras. He and his company of soldiers are brought back to the U.S. for a promotional tour culminating in a halftime show at a Thanksgiving Day football game. Most of the movie takes place during the day of the game, with flashbacks to the wartime events.

The film, based on the acclaimed best-selling novel, is now in production. It currently has the date to itself.
