Late Australian conservationist Steve Irwin's kin will also serve as brand ambassadors for Discovery.

Steve Irwin's family will launch a new show for Animal Planet early next year, Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav announced Wednesday during his keynote speech at MIPCOM.

The family of the late conservationist — Terri, Bindi and Bob — will develop the show with Animal Planet and serve as global ambassadors for Discovery Communications.

The as yet untitled show will be “action-oriented,” Zaslav told The Hollywood Reporter. “Bindi and Bob have been following in their father’s footsteps. There is an authenticity to the family. This is their life. As a family they are charming and Bob and Bindi are quite good.”

“People will remember their love for Steve and they’ll see Steve in Bindi and Bob, and we’re happy to be back in business with them. They’ve been great to us and we care about them personally.”

“We’re excited to be returning home to Animal Planet and our Discovery Communications family,” said Terri Irwin in a statement. “We look forward to the year ahead as we embark on new projects and adventures with Animal Planet.”

Australian Irwin was The Crocodile Hunter and became famous worldwide for his work to advocate for and save exotic animals before his death.

Bindi took over her father’s mantle and won an Emmy for Discovery Kids series Bindi, the Jungle Girl and appeared on the 2015 season of Dancing with the Stars. Bob hosted the Discovery Kids series Wild but True.
