He will be a partner and lead WME's comedy touring team.

Former APA partner and comedy co-head Mike Berkowitz is joining WME to lead its comedy touring team, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. APA announced yesterday that Berkowitz would depart at the end of the year, when his contract expires.

Berkowitz, who will be a partner at WME, is one of the top agents in the comedy touring space. He booked Kevin Hart's record-grossing What Now?, which was the first comedy tour to sell out an NFL stadium, and Amy Schumer's sold-out show at Madison Square Garden, where she was the first woman to do so. He also booked Aziz Ansari's arena tour and Netflix special, which led to the best-seller Modern Romance, which Berkowitz also negotiated. And more recently, the agent was responsible for John Mulaney and Nick Kroll's sold-out Broadway debut of Oh, Hello.

Berkowitz has booked more arena comedy shows than any other agent, more than 10 sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden and more than a dozen sold-out shows at Carnegie Hall, as well as popular and critically acclaimed specials at HBO, Netflix, Comedy Central and Showtime. His roster also includes Mike Birbiglia, Bill Burr, Craig Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani, David Cross, Chelsea Peretti, Anthony Jeselnik, Pete Davidson, Paul Scheer, Vanessa Bayer, Jerrod Carmichael, Chris Gethard, Colin Quinn, Norm Macdonald and Jeff Garlin.
