APA Partner Barry K. McPherson Joins Agency’s Board of Directors (Exclusive)
The New York talent head has been with APA for 22 years.
APA senior vp and partner Barry K. McPherson has been named to the agency’s board of directors, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
McPherson will continue to work out of APA’s New York office, where he serves as head of its New York talent department and represents several Tony-, Emmy- and Oscar-winning actors, including Chevy Chase, whom he signed last month. The agency recently relocated its New York headquarters to 28,000 square feet comprising the entire 17th floor of the Sports Illustrated building in midtown Manhattan.
McPherson joined APA as an assistant in 1993 and has been an agent in the talent department for the last 18 years. He was promoted to vp in 2001 and named senior vp/partner in 2007.
“Since the day he joined the company, Barry has been a tremendous asset to the growth and prosperity of APA,” agency president and CEO Jim Gosnell said in a statement. “I could not be more proud and honored to welcome him to our Board of Directors as we continue to forge our success story across all divisions.”
