The company has invited journalists to “talk iPhone” next week, as speculation swirls regarding potential features.

The highly anticipated announcement regarding Apple’s next generation of iPhones is just one week away.

The company announced on Tuesday, Sept. 27 that consumers could expect an official announcement on Oct. 4 concerning the iPhone 5. According to Mercury News, select journalists were sent invitations that simply stated: “Let’s talk iPhone.”

The invitation did not hint at any of the new features to be included in the iPhone 5, but speculations suggest a thinner design, advanced camera technology and overseas capabilities could all be included.

Earlier this summer, it was reported that a prototype of the new phone was lost in a San Francisco bar. Police were unable to track down the missing phone, despite tracing it to a Bernal Heights neighborhood.
