Arclight Films launches TV arm, taps Mancuso

Former president of USA Cable to head new unit

Arclight Films has launched a television division and has tapped Angela Mancuso, former president of USA Cable Entertainment, to run it.

In making the announcement, Arclight managing director Gary Hamilton said the plan for the new unit is to produce hour-long series, as well as TV movies and mini-series.

He also noted that Mancuso already is developing several series.

Mancuso began her career at HBO in New York where she became senior vp production before moving to Lifetime to help launch original programming.

She moved to Los Angeles to head the cable TV programming group at Universal, developing such projects as series "Monk" and "Battlestar Galactica" and miniseries "Traffic."
