Argentina actors strike comes to end

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina -- Fiction programming will be back on the air this week in Argentina now that the Argentina Association of Actors has agreed to end its strike, which had halted production of top-rated fiction shows for a week.

Money and work hours were at the heart of the dispute. The actors union agreed Monday to the Argentina Chamber of Independent Television Producers' offer of a nine-hour workday, plus one hour of lunch. Previously, the working day was 11 hours.

The strike had stopped production of popular shows including "Patito Feo," "LaLola" and "Casi Angeles."
