Producers Arnon Milchan and Mace Neufeld will be honored at the Opening Night Gala of the 28th Israel Film Festival on Oct. 23 at the Steve Tisch Cinema Center, Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. Milchan has been selected to receive the IFF Visionary Award, and Neufeld will receive the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Milchan, founder of New Regency Productions, received a best picture Oscar nomination for producing 1997’s L.A. Confidential, and Regency has been involved in such films as 12 Years a Slave, Pretty Woman and the upcoming Birdman.

Neufeld has produced both The Omen trilogy and the series of films based on Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan novels, from 1990’s The Hunt for Red October through last year’s Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. His next film is The Equalizer, starring Denzel Washington.

Now in its 28th year, the Israel Film Festival, founded by Meir Fenigstein, who serves as its executive director, bills itself as the largest showcase of Israeli films in the United States. It will run from Oct. 23 through Nov. 6.
