It is the mogul's first child.

Greg Berlanti — the ever-busy writer, director and producer who has had his hands on such recent shows as Blindspot, Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, The Mysteries of Laura and Riverdale — has just added a new title to his already-impressive résumé: father.

The 43-year-old welcomed a son, Caleb Gene Berlanti, on Feb. 18. The creative mogul posted the news on social media over the weekend, announcing that he had become a dad via surrogate. In the post, he revealed that "there is nothing I've wanted more, or waited for longer, than to be a father."

Berlanti's rep on Monday told The Hollywood Reporter that he's settling in nicely to fatherhood. "Both dad and son are doing great and the entire extended Berlanti family is over the moon," said Slate PR's Simon Halls. "Especially grandma."

Berlanti praised his family for their support in his post. "Achieving this dream would not have been possible without the love and support of my wonderful family and surrogate, incredible boyfriend, amazing friends and co-workers that encouraged me and helped me on this remarkable journey," he wrote. (Berlanti has been dating soccer star Robbie Rogers, a defender for the LA Galaxy.)

The child is Berlanti's first. And he already seems up for the challenge. "Check back in approximately 25-30 years for the tell-all about how I screwed it all up, until then apologies for the over posting of baby photos," he quipped. "My heart is full forever."
