Arte, MySpace team for 'Twenty Show'
Web series a first for French terrestrial networkCANNES -- Franco-German TV network Arte has partnered with MySpace to launch the Web series "Twenty Show" geared towards twentysomethings, Arte said Monday.
The 500,000 euro ($679,700) project, which launched Oct. 1, marks the first time a terrestrial network in France has created and financed a production designed for the Internet.
"Twenty Show's" 40 three-minute webisodes follow four young adults video-blogging on MySpace.
Starting at the end of November, the ensemble of webisodes will be compiled into a 90-minute program set to air on Arte France in early 2009.
Arte also plans to launch the documentary Web series "Gaza/Sderot" on Oct. 27, which will tell the stories of men, women and children living in those cities in Palestine and Israel.
