The second annual event has enlisted the actor and startup investor to help assess the final eight entrepreneurs competing for millions of dollars in funding at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

A new year marks a time for new ideas, which will be celebrated at the second annual WeWork Creator Awards Global Finals on Wednesday in Los Angeles, where Ashton Kutcher will serve on the panel of judges.

WeWork's Creator Awards — a major global initiative that recognizes and rewards innovation across all industries by funding entrepreneurs, small businesses, growing companies, nonprofits, performing artists and more — will enlist the star to help assess the final eight entrepreneurs competing for millions of dollars in funding.

“I am in awe of the intelligence and creativity of the entrepreneurs competing in this year’s WeWork Creator Global Finals. From health care to the environment to humanitarian issues such as hunger and homelessness, these creators are tackling it all. They all give us hope for a better world," said Kutcher, who has previously served as a judge at Creator Awards in Nashville and London.

"WeWork’s commitment to harnessing the vision of these entrepreneurs through the Creator Global Finals is something that deeply resonates with me," added the star, who was an early investor in such companies as Airbnb and Spotify. "I could not be more motivated by the dedication, drive, and innovation of the finalists."

VaynerX CEO and investor Gary Vaynerchuk, along with venture capitalist Kirsten Green, also will serve as judges for the ceremony.

"Anytime I can give value to up-and-coming entrepreneurs and it’s based on merit and what they present, I’m excited," said Vaynerchuck. "To do it in this context makes it 100 times more exciting."

This year, the global finalists competing include Rachael Corson and Joycelyn Mate (Afrocenchix); Yoni Yefet Reich and Hudi (Yehuda) Weinberg (Amutat Kaima); Wang Feng (Angel House Cerebral Palsy); Cemal Ezel (Change Please); Chloe Alpert (Medina’s Health); Ma Yiliang (Modoo); and Stephanie Benedetto (Queen of Raw); Tomas Abrahao (Raizs).

The WeWork Creator Awards Global Finals marks the next step in the company's initiative to commit funding and brand visibility to entrepreneurs and innovators across all industries and stages of growth. In addition to London and Nashville, WeWork has hosted regional Creator Awards in Washington D.C., Detroit, Austin, Berlin, Tel Aviv and New York.
