Aubrey Plaza Recounts Meeting Donald Trump While Dressed Like a British Elf

She said things would have gone differently if she had known how he'd be as a politician.

Aubrey Plaza had a funny Donald Trump story to share with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday's The Late Show.

The Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates actress recounted the first time she met the presumptive GOP presidential nominee. She was about 19 or 20 and was working as a "Noddy the elf" mascot, a British children's book character. She would make up dance moves that she thought Noddy would do and would work at events.

Plaza said that once, while working at FAO Schwartz, her boss gave her a very important task: get into a picture with Donald Trump. She said her boss told her "do it or you're fired."

"He didn't want the picture," Plaza said, adding that she kept trying to dance over to him to take the picture. "I finally just put my creepy elf arm around him and got that picture."

She added, "I feel like if I knew then what I know now, I would have just talked him to the ground at that moment and said 'Don't do it!'"
