Ausfilm catches Pitcher for top post


SYDNEY -- Caroline Pitcher has been tapped as the new CEO of Australian film locations marketing agency Ausfilm, the organization announced Monday.

Pitcher joins the agency from her position as general manager of the Melbourne Film Office, the locations marketing arm of state government agency, Film Victoria.

Like Ausfilm, the Melbourne Film Office seeks to attract major film and television projects to Australia. Titles produced in Victoria during Pitcher's term as general manager include "Where the Wild Things Are," "Nightmares and Dreamscapes," "Charlotte's Web" and "Ghost Rider."

Pitcher replaces Mark Woods ,who chose not to renew his contract after two years at the helm of the organization. Ausfilm has offices in Sydney and Los Angeles.
