'Avatar,' 'District 9' Nab Hollywood Post Alliance Awards
Other winners included 'Alice in Wonderland,' 'Inception,' 'Lost,' 'House' and 'The Pacific.'
Avatar and District 9 each picked up one more award, and the movies Alice in Wonderland and Inception also took home trophies as the Hollywood Post Alliance held its fifth annual HPA Awards on Thursday night at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
The HPA Awards, which honor talent working behind the scenes, singled out Avatar for best compositing in a feature film; Alice for color grading using a DI process; Inception for editing; and District 9 for sound.
Television winners included miniseries The Pacific and episodes of Lost and House.
Ted Gagliano, president of 20th Century Fox Feature Post Production, was honored with the group's Lifetime Achievement Awards.
