His theme will be heard during covering of the U.S. Open, airing on Fox and Fox Sports 1.

Brian Tyler, who composed the scores for Furious 7 and Avengers: Age of Ultron, has created a musical theme for the 115th U.S. Open, which will air on the Fox network and Fox Sports 1 beginning June 18 from Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington.

Conducting a 90-piece orchestra, Tyler created a four-movement theme that runs six minutes, 30 seconds, but will be edited down into shorter pieces used throughout the golf broadcasts.

The theme will debut during The U.S. Open Preview Show, airing June 17 at 12 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.

Tyler, who was named Film Composer of the Year at the recent 2014 Cue Awards, has scored more than 70 motion pictures and was a 2010 inductee into the music branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

“Brian is one of Hollywood’s hottest composers and we were honored that he chose the ‘U.S. Open on Fox’ theme as his next big project,” George Greenberg, Fox Sports executive vice president of content integration and presentation, said.
