The singer screamed as security whisked away the would-be assailant during a "Black Star" tour stop.

Singer Avril Lavigne sang a different tune Tuesday night during a stop on her current "Black Star" tour in Brazil.

About to launch into Coldplay's "Fix You," the Canadian songstress had her back to the audience as a female fan climbed on stage and attempted to grab or perhaps embrace Lavigne.

As seen in the video below, Lavigne screamed as the overzealous Avrilite was herself caught and dragged offstage by a security guard, who also happens to be her brother Matt, according to ONTD.

Lavigne was uninjured and carried on with the show.

Lavigne takes a break from her world tour to return to the States for the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday.

She returns to the road in September for dates in Russia, Italy, the Netherlands, Belguim, France and Germany.
