Shelley Zimmerman - H 2015

She will reunite with AwesomenessTV's Brian Robbins after years working together at Tollin/Robbins Productions.

AwesomenessTV CEO Brian Robbins has tapped an old colleague for a new role at his digital media company.

The Dreamworks Animation-owned production company has appointed Shelley Zimmerman to the new role of head of scripted series. She will oversee development and production of original scripted programming for ATV's growing list of digital, over-the-top and television partners.

Zimmerman most recently served as senior vp scripted programming at Warner Horizon, where she expanded its roster of programming to include ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars, Netflix's Longmire and TNT's Rizzoli and Isles. Before that, she worked with Robbins at Tollin/Robbins Productions, where she was president of television development on shows including Smallville, One Tree Hill and What I Like About You

"I'm thrilled to reunite with Shelley," said Robbins, noting the pass success working together. "With so many new distribution platforms creating opportunities for us, she will expand our studio slate of original series." Added Zimmerman: "After watching AwesomenessTV's amazing growth these last few years as an outsider, I'm really excited about joining the team and working with Brian once again."

ATV, which operates a 90,000-channel YouTube network, began by producing original programming for its YouTube channel and has since expanded into multiple platforms through projects like Nickelodeon sketch series AwesomenessTV and a live-action adaptation of Richie Rich for Netflix. Shauna Phelan will continue overseeing development and production for scripted and unscripted series on the AwesomenessTV YouTube channel.
