Aziz Ansari, Joel McHale join N.Y. Comedy lineup

Adam Carolla, Margaret Cho, Louis CK also on tap

NEW YORK -- Aziz Ansari, Joel McHale, Adam Carolla, Margaret Cho, Louis CK, Gabriel Iglesias and Rosie O'Donnell will be part of this fall's seventh edition of The New York Comedy Festival, produced by venerable comedy club Carolines on Broadway in association with Comedy Central.

Organizers on Tuesday also unveiled Kevin Hart, Luis Jimenez, Maz Jobrani, Brian Regan and Nick Swardson as performers for the festival, which says it is the largest in the U.S.

The talent lineup will be joined by more than 150 others performing at more than 10 venues throughout the festival's Nov. 3-7 run. Its opening night will feature a "Comics to Watch" showcase and the "Stand-Up for Heroes" benefit presented together with the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which has become an annual tradition.

"I'm thrilled to give the New York Comedy Festival another try this November," quipped McHale, star of NBC's "Community." "To be playing Carnegie Hall is a milestone in the Festival's misjudgment, but for me it is a dream come true."

"The New York Comedy Festival has become THE destination for legendary and rising comedic talent," said festival founder Caroline Hirsch, owner of Carolines on Broadway. "We are excited about this year's programming that features an array of performers that are distinct, visionary and downright hilarious."
