'B' is for buy: Sidetrack gets Corman docu

BERLIN -- Sidetrack Films has snatched up worldwide rights to the documentary feature "King of the B's: The Independent Life of Roger Corman."
Alex Stapleton is directing the movie, which chronicles the career of the exploitation B-movie mogul, whose films such as "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Piranha" helped launch the careers of Jack Nicholson, James Cameron, Martin Scorsese and Ron Howard.
Sidetrack's Jared Moshe and Richard Lim will executive produce along with Josh Levin of Gallant Films.
Sidetrack produced the Independent Spirit Award-nominated documentary "Kurt Cobain About a Son" and the Emmy-nominated "Favela Rising."
