"After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways. We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually," Dorfman and Murray confirmed through their rep.

The news comes as a surprise to Bachelor and Bachelorette fans as the two were spotted together at Monday night's season 19 premiere party.

Host Chris Harrison interviewed the two reality stars on the red carpet and inquired when the proposed wedding would take place, to which Dorfman turned to Murray and allowed him to respond. "We're looking forward to just settling down and just relaxing and having some fun with each other," Murray said as Dorfman rubbed her former fiance's back, still sporting her engagement ring.

"I feel like once you start planning though, there's no stopping, so I've got to really be ready to plan," Dorfman told Harrison of wedding planning.
