Ball in gear with NASCAR as showbiz drive continues
Former WB exec heads L.A. officeBrad Ball, a former senior executive at Warner Bros., has been named vp entertainment marketing at NASCAR.
Ball will lead entertainment marketing and content development at NASCAR and manage its Los Angeles office, reporting to chief marketing officer Steve Phelps and media group president Paul Brooks. He replaces Dick Glover, who left NASCAR last month to head Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's FunnyorDie Networks as CEO.
Ball, who was senior partner at Moroch Partners Advertising, serving such clients as Disney, Sony, Universal, McDonald's and New Line, will continue to serve on Moroch's board of directors.
NASCAR said that throughout his career as a consultant, advertising, film and corporate executive, Ball has brought NASCAR into his organizations' marketing and business plans.
As founder and CEO of Ball Entertainment Group, a branded entertainment and marketing company, he consulted for NASCAR as well as Imax, Disney and Time magazine. From 1998-2003, Ball was president of theatrical marketing for Warner Bros. Pictures and executive vp corporate marketing for Warner Bros. Entertainment. At Warners, he was the lead exec for the sports docu "NASCAR 3D: The Imax Experience."
