Even the Panthers, who lost the game 22-19, had some fun with the moment.
Some things are just more important.
On Thursday night, the Baltimore Ravens paused their preseason game against the visiting Carolina Panthers so the crowd could watch Baltimore native Michael Phelps compete in the 200m individual medley at the Olympics.
The race, which Phelps won, nabbing an astonishing 22nd gold medal, was shown on the Jumbotron at M&T Bank Stadium.
NBC also showed the hometown crowd going nuts for Phelps' win on a split screen while he was being interviewed post race.
Even the Panthers, who lost the game 22-19, had some fun with the moment when they tweeted out the now popular #PhelpsFace meme after the game.
