Banff channels 3 TV masters

TORONTO -- The Banff World Television Festival added three more veteran program makers to its upcoming master-class lineup, including "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" executive producer and showrunner Carol Mendelsohn, organizers said Tuesday.

Banff will also host sessions by award-winning documentary maker Antony Thomas ("The Tank Man") and "Veronica Mars" creator-executive producer Rob Thomas.

The master-class lineup already includes Canadian film and TV director Mike Clattenburg ("Trailer Park Boys"), Greg Daniels, executive producer of NBC's "The Office," Lifetime Television's Susanne Daniels, and Ben Silverman ("Ugly Betty").

Banff also plans a spotlight on the British TV industry, with BSkyB managing director of channels and services Dawn Airey set to present a keynote address.

The 28th Banff World Television Festival is set to run June 10-13 in the Canadian Rockies.
