Barack Obama to Guest Star on Discovery Channel's 'Mythbusters'

He pre-taped a segment about ancient weapons of mass destruction.

President Barack Obama will appear on Discover Channel's "Mythbusters" Dec. 8, the White House and the network announced Monday.

He'll discuss whether Greek scientists set fire to an invading Roman fleet by using mirrors to deflect sun rays, according to the New York Post. He pre-taped his appearance at the show's Washington, D.C.-based studio.

The White House points out that the show, in which scientists try to prove or debunk old wives tales, attracts about 13 million viewers a week, and is especially popular among 9-14 years olds.

This isn't the first show Obama is guest starring on. Last week, he appeared in an MTV town hall, and was interviewed on The View in July.
