Barry Levinson tops Marrakech jury

Sebastian Koch, Caterina Murino among jury members

PARIS -- "Man of the Year" helmer Barry Levinson will be the man of Marrakech when the U.S. director, screenwriter and producer presides over the jury of the eighth Marrakech International Film Festival, organizers said Friday.

The four-time Oscar winner will head the judge's table with German actor Sebastian Koch, Portuguese actor Joaquim de Almeida, British director-writer-producer Hugh Hudson, Italian actress Caterina Murino, Spanish writer-director Agusti Villaronga, French actress Natacha Regnier, Senegalaise author and lawyer Mariama Barry and Moroccan psychiatrist/anthropologist/writer Ghita El Khayat.

Levinson's most recent turn in the director's chair "What Just Happened?" closed the Festival de Cannes in May. The Marrakech festival runs Nov. 14-22 in the Moroccan city.
