BBC's 'Tess' costumes destroyed in fire

LONDON -- Hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of costumes for a forthcoming BBC drama have been destroyed in what police are treating as an arson attack.

Costumes for the BBC's forthcoming classic adaptation of the Thomas Hardy tragedy "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" were damaged when fire broke out in a truck where they had been stored.

The drama, starring current Bond girl Gemma Arterton, was being filmed on location in Somerset.

Police are interviewing a local teenager about the blaze.
