The winner of the upcoming reality series will create a limited-edition KKW Beauty makeup line.

Today, Lifetime released a nearly 30-minute peek at episode one of the highly anticipated Kim Kardashian West-produced beauty reality competition show Glam Masters. (To watch it on YouTube, click here).  Hosted by Laverne Cox and starring Kardashian West’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic as one of the judges, the eight-episode series premieres Feb. 28.

No surprise that Cox brings a sense of style to the role, with a glittery design painted on her forehead that coordinates with her metallic-patterned, tie-neck dress with sweeping sleeves and a thigh-high slit in the preview.

The biggest news in the teaser is that the winner of Glam Master will collaborate with Kardashian West to create a limited-edition makeup collection for her KKW Beauty line to be showcased in a booth at an upcoming Beautycon festival, the annual gathering in New York, Los Angeles and London created by the company helmed by CEO Moj Mahdara.

In the first face-off, four beauty influencers are given an hour for the “Express Your Selfie” challenge — to create a glam “metallic drip” look, a buzzy social media trend, and capture it in a selfie. After one contestant is eliminated (no spoiler here), the three remaining influencers move on to a second “Glamp It Up” challenge of painting a model’s face in an avant-garde look inspired by one of the seven deadly sins. “You have one hour to create a look of biblical proportions,” Cox says.

“I chose lust,” says one of the female competitors, whose model was made up to look like she’d been out all night (possibly at Avenue night club with the Kardashian-Jenner clan?). “I love the power of lust. ... She has very blurred lips, she’s a hot mess, but she’s starving for that lust of happiness.” Cox describes another contestant’s theatrical take on pride as “a bit Jackson Pollock meets Edvard Munch meets classic McQueen.”

Tune in Feb. 28 to see who in this group will advance to the semifinals.
