'Before I Go to Sleep' Trailer: Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth Star in Thriller (Video)

Kidman plays an amnesia patient who can't trust anyone in the film based on the 2011 best-selling novel.

Hollywood's love affair with amnesia continues, as Nicole Kidman deals with the affliction in the first trailer for the forthcoming thriller Before I Go to Sleep.

Kidman plays Christine, who survived a brutal attack 10 years ago that causes her to forget everything upon waking up each day. Christine doesn't know who to trust, including her husband (Colin Firth) and a pervy doctor (Mark Strong). In one scene, Christine is seen sprinting away from said doctor.

Rowan Joffe wrote and directed the film, based on the 2011 best-selling novel of the same name by S.J. Watson. The film's trailer calls to mind such previous thrillers as Memento and The Bourne Identity.

Clarius Entertainment releases the film Sept. 12.
