BRUSSELS -- Belgian TV services provider Alfacam has been awarded the rights to service the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and the 2012 summer Olympics in London. The two contracts with Olympic Broadcast Services are worth 24 million euros ($40 million).

Alfacam has been recording HDTV Olympic sports since the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City and also will provide several outside broadcast trucks for the summer's Beijing Olympics. The specialized OB trucks in its fleet, fitted with HDTV recording equipment, are each capable of handling the input of 36 cameras.
