Bell Canada to offer streaming of CFL games

Deal with TSN, RDS will provide entire 77-game schedule

TORONTO -- Canadian phone giant Bell Canada is looking to be the go-to pro sports provider in a market increasingly turning to the mobile phone platform for new revenue streams.

First Bell offered exclusive mobile access to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games and then the recent NHL Stanley Cup playoffs.

Now the phone giant is to offer its smartphone subscribers live streaming of Canadian Football League games as part of a deal with the Canadian cable sports channel the Sports Network (TSN) and RDS, its French-language counterpart.

TSN and RDS will provide the entire 77-game CFL schedule to Bell's mobile subscribers, including regular season and playoff games and the Grey Cup championship match-up.
