The hot Berlinale title has been picked up by Altitude and Picturehouse.

One of the Berlin Film Festival's hot titles has found a British buyer.

Altitude Film Distribution and Picturehouse Entertainment have teamed up once more to take U.K. distribution rights to Alone in Berlin ahead of its Berlin premiere on Monday following several market screenings.

The film stars two-time Oscar winner Emma Thompson alongside Brendan Gleeson and Daniel Bruhl in a tense, real-life drama set during WWII, based on the international bestseller by German novelist Hans Fallada and directed by Vincent Perez (La Reine Margot).

The deal was negotiated between Altitude's Will Clarke and Picturehouse's Clare Binns by FilmWave's Paul Trijbits and Christian Grass together with Alison Thompson from Cornerstone Films, which is handling international sales.
