The thriller, which Signature is selling worldwide at the European Film Market, follows a wounded, bloodied man who takes a priest hostage, hell-bent on confessing a vengeful truth before it is too late.

True Blood's Stephen Moyer and Golden Globe nominee Colm Meaney (Con Air, Gangs of London) exchange bloody vows in this exclusive first-look image from upcoming thriller Confession, which Signature Entertainment are shopping worldwide at the European Film Market.

Also starring Clare-Hope Ashitey (Children of Men) and written and directed by David Beton (The Hatton Garden Job, Tower Block), the film follows a wounded, bloodied man (Moyer) who takes a priest (Meaney) hostage, hell-bent on confessing a vengeful truth before it is too late. The seemingly random encounter is soon revealed to be anything but as the two men’s lives are inextricably linked.

Meaney, recently seen in the crime caper Pixie, plays Father Peter while Moyer, who previously worked alongside Beton in 2017's The Hatton Garden Job (also known as One Last Heist) takes on Victor Strong, the mysterious captor.

Confession is produced by Picture Perfect’s Lucinda Rhodes Thakrar and Jeet Thakrar (Arthur & Merlin: Knights of Camelot). Signature's Elizabeth Williams and Marc Goldberg (Final Score, The Hatton Garden Job) are executive producers.

"We are delighted to present real-time thriller Confession to buyers for the first time at Virtual EFM," said Andrew Nerger, Signature’s head of international distribution. "David has directed a wonderfully tense and engaging film and Stephen and Colm deliver pitch perfect performances which I am certain will resonate with many buyers looking to bolster their line-up for the second half of 2021."
