Rachel Palumbo’s debut feature follows musicians and artists living in Paris during a terrorist attack and is based on real events.

Jack Kilmer, most recently seen opposite Ryan Gosling in The Nice Guys, is in talks to star along with Timur Magomedgadzhiev in director Rachel Palumbo’s debut feature, Violent Delights.

The story is based on the real events surrounding the November 2015 attack on Paris. The film will follow a diverse group of musicians and art students who find themselves caught in the crossfire of a Parisian terrorist attack. It centers on two groups: an American punk rock band led by Michael (Kilmer) and two expressionist painters, and a young man of an immigrant family (Timur), both living in Paris at the time.

The project, with a script by Taylor Laughlin, is produced by Bruce Nahin and Laughlin, who introduced the project at EFM, and executive produced by Kelsey Roberts. Production is slated for this summer in Paris and Los Angeles.

Along with The Nice Guys, Kilmer, who is the son of Val Kilmer, was recently seen in James Franco's Palo Alto. He has Huntsville with Sophie Turner and Franco’s Pretenders coming up. He’s repped by CAA, Principato-Young and Hirsch Wallerstein.

Magomedgadzhiev has, until now, worked exclusively with the Dardenne brothers, appearing opposite Marion Cotillard in Two Days, One Night and also in The Unknown Girl.
