The network plans to celebrate the actress' big day in January.

Betty White will not be celebrating her upcoming 90th birthday quietly.

The actress will get a dinner-style party in Los Angeles in December, and it will be well documented.

NBC confirms it will air a special broadcast of the event near her actual birthday on Jan. 17, as first reported by TV Guide.

Expected guests include cast members of White's current series, Hot in Cleveland, and her iconic CBS comedy, The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Event broadcast veterans  Brad Lachman, Steve Ridgeway and Jon Macks will executive produce.

Other milestones for her first year as a nonagenarian include NBC's upcoming reality series Off Their Rockers and the third season of Hot in Cleveland, which has plotted a birthday episode for White's alter ego.
