BFI Gay & Lesbian Film Festival To Return in 2012

U.K.'s longest running gay film event to be longer next year.

LONDON – The longest running gay film event in the U.K., the BFI London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival will be up and running next year in Spring 2012, organizers said.

The festival organizers said next year’s edition would be upped in length from the six days it was this year. But dates for the extended event are still being worked out.

Organizers also said they hope to present a selection of new international cinema and live events, all held at BFI Southbank.

This year’s shindig ran March 31-April 6 and scored an 89% seat occupancy across the festival period.
