Dr. Joanna Dolgoff and Buck Productions have pacted on a new unscripted project to encourage overweight young people to lead healthier lives.

TORONTO – The Biggest Loser pediatrician Joanna Dolgoff and Canadian indie producer Buck Productions have partnered to develop a reality TV series to confront a child obesity epidemic.

The Canadian fat-shedding series will be based on Dr. Dolgoff's Red Light, Green Light, Eat Right plan, and will see the American nutrition expert make house calls to inspire young people and their families to make better food choices.

“I am delighted to be teaming up with Buck Productions to bring lessons from Red Light, Green Light, Eat Right to the small screen,” Dolgoff said on Wednesday in a statement.

NBC's The Biggest Loser airs in Canada on City, which also hosts another socially conscious reality show from Buck Productions, The Project: Guatemala.

The Canadian weight loss series has yet to land a broadcaster.

"Her work influences kids to lead healthy lifestyles, and we are excited to bring her motivational movement to market," said Buck Productions CEO Sean Buckley in his own statement.
