Bill Cosby Sets a Return to the Stage Ahead of Sexual Assault Retrial
The disgraced comedian will put on a special performance honoring jazz great Tony Williams Monday night.
Bill Cosby is set to return to the stage Monday night for a special performance honoring jazz drummer Tony Williams. The event, open to the public, will take place at LaRose Jazz Club in Philadelphia, it was announced by Cosby's official Facebook page.
Following a musical number with the Tony Williams Jazz Quartet, the disgraced comedian will also perform a comedy set at the close of the evening.
Cosby has largely kept out of the public eye after standing trial last June on charges of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in 2004. A mistrial was declared after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict.
A retrial for Cosby's sexual assault case is pending a start date of April 2. More than 60 women have come forward to accuse the actor of sexually violating them decades ago.
