Simple Minds celebrated the 30th anniversary of The Breakfast Club with a performance of the movie's signature song, "Don't You (Forget About Me)" at Sunday night's Billboard Music Awards.

Introduced by the actress who played the prom queen, Molly Ringwald, the band performed its hit from the movie's soundtrack with a backdrop consisting of stills from the film.

The audience at the MGM Grand Garden Arena was seen dancing to the '80s hit and sang along to the familiar lyrics, with the band's lead singer, James Kerr, regularly turning his microphone out into the crowd.

Among the well-heeled crowd rocking out, Ringwald could be seen taking it all in with Taylor Swift. Earlier, in her intro, she asked Swift if she could be part of her "club."

The Billboard Music Awards, co-hosted by Ludacris and Chrissy Teigen, aired live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
