Britney, Demi and Laverne led the pack.

The Billboard Music Awards are generally a super colorful affair, but this year the magenta carpet was the brightest thing about the show. Sunday’s arrivals at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas saw an overwhelming amount of stars in head-to-toe black. The timeless shade was worn by everyone from a slew of guys to singers including Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

For her part, Lovato wore a massive amount of Chanel: wide-leg black pants, a sheer lace top and blue-flecked tweed blazer, giant double-C earrings and black leather gloves. Laverne Cox looked impeccable from her angled bob all the way to the bottom of her fitted deep V-neck gown, with its dramatic, long train.

Heidi Klum rocked a windowpane-esque gown with a sheer mesh back and asymmetrical off-the-shoulder details. Meanwhile, Idina Menzel opted for a glittering, short bandage-inspired dress, and all five members of Fifth Harmony wore the classic color, too.

Kristen Bell looked chic in a black halter jumpsuit by Jonathan Simkhai, complete with navy scalloped edges and tapered waist cutouts. Fellow actress Jessica Alba opted for a figure-skater-chic high-neck lace frock by Zuhair Murad with long sleeves and over-the-knee boots. She paired the look with edgy, metallic midnight-blue smoky eyes and a slicked-back topknot.

Spears, of course, left little to the imagination in sheer, embellished Reem Acra that hit just below her hips. Empire actress and singer Serayah McNeill also bared some serious skin, pairing a one-shoulder crop top with high-waisted leather pants. Additionally, Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher wore a short sequined halter dress for her announcing duties.

As for the men, Shawn Mendes turned up on the magenta carpet in a black Balenciaga tux and Russell Wilson, too, went for a black suit. Michael Strahan kept it casual in a black leather jacket, while Ashton Kutcher donned a black tee with slightly baggy jacket and pants.
