Billboard Music Awards: Nicki Minaj Opens Show With 9-Minute Performance
The awards show is airing live from Las Vegas on ABC.
Nicki Minaj opened the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night with a 9-minute performance featuring special guests Lil Wayne, Jason Derulo and David Guetta.
Minaj began her performance with dancers before making her grand entrance in a black leather and silver bedazzled costume.
Lil Wayne took the stage first, rapping on "No Frauds." Guetta then appeared with Minaj, performing "Light My Body Up." Derulo was the last special guest of the opening act performing on "Swalla."
2017 marks the fourth appearance for Minaj on the Billboard Music Awards stage, as well as her first television performance since breaking Aretha Franklin’s long-standing record for female artist charting the most songs on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Billboard Music Awards aired live at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT Sunday on ABC from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Vanessa Hudgens and Ludacris hosted. Keep up with all the latest news here.
