Billboard Women in Music: Cardi B, Dolly Parton, Jennifer Lopez Among Honorees

Chloe x Halle, Dua Lipa and Jessie Reyez will also be recognized at Teyana Taylor-hosted event, streaming live in December.

Billboard has announced the first group of honorees for its 15th annual Women in Music event.

Cardi B, Chloe x Halle, Dolly Parton, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez and Jessie Reyez will all be recognized at the Teyana Taylor-hosted event that's set to stream live in December.

Cardi B will be honored with the Woman of the Year award, given to an act whose music, performances, cultural influence and activism have defined the year.

Lopez will receive this year's Icon Award, given to an artist with immeasurable impact on the music industry and artistic community. She joins past recipients Alanis Morissette, Cyndi Lauper, Mary J. Blige, Shania Twain and Aretha Franklin.

Lipa is set to receive the Powerhouse Award, given to an act whose music dominated streaming, sales, radio and the conversation.

Parton will be honored with the Hitmaker Award, given to a songwriter who has crucially influenced the culture.

Chloe x Halle are set to receive the Rising Star Award presented by Honda.

Brianna Agyemang and Jamila Thomas, the Atlantic Records execs behind the #TheShowMustBePaused movement that disrupted the music industry in an effort to raise awareness of racial issues in the wake of George Floyd's death, will receive the executive of the year award.

Reyez, who has raised awareness of social issues and injustices in the world as she released her debut album this year, is set to be honored with the American Express Impact Award, given to changemakers in the music industry.

The event, sponsored by Honda and American Express, is held in conjunction with the release of Billboard's Women in Music issue and will stream live on Dec. 10 at 8 pm ET on
