Billy Eichner in Talks to Join Anna Kendrick in Disney's Female Santa Claus Movie
The negotiation comes as the 'Billy on the Street' star and his fast-paced game show is set to leave truTV.
Billy Eichner is in negotiations to star in Disney's Nicole, a tale of a female Santa Claus also starring Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Marc Lawrence is attached to direct, while Suzanne Todd, who worked with the studio on Alice in Wonderland, is producing. Lawrence also wrote the script for the holiday family adventure that centers on the coming of a female Santa to take over the family business.
Eichner is best known as the aggressively inquisitive host of Billy on the Street, which earned him a Daytime Emmy. He also stars in the Hulu series Difficult People and has been seen on Parks and Recreation and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
Eichner's fast-paced game show Billy on the Street is set to leave truTV after two years at the Turner-owned cable network.
