Billy Ray, Miley Cyrus to host CMT Awards


Billy Ray Cyrus and daughter Miley Cyrus ("Hannah Montana") will host 2008 CMT Music Awards on April 14. The show, which airs on CMT and, will take place at Nashville's Curb Event Center at Belmont University.

The pair, whose single "Ready, Set, Don't Go" recently peaked at No. 4 on Hot Country Songs, will also perform on the show.

Previously announced performers on the fan voted awards show include Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Sugarland, Taylor Swift and Toby Keith.

CMT will announce the finalists in each of the thirteen CMT Music Awards categories on March 6. Finalists in the video of the year category, will be announced at the beginning of the April 14 show, with fans voting online for the winner throughout the broadcast.

Jeff Foxworthy hosted the show the past three years.
