Binder gets license from Halcyon Co.

The Halcyon Co has appointed Russell Binder as president of its newly formed consumer products division. Binder, a licensing industry veteran, will manage and grow the company's consumer products licensing business in support of Halcyon Co. content like the "Terminator" franchise as well as out-of-house content the company will represent.

Before joining Halcyon, Binder founded and managed his own boutique agency, Striker Entertainment, which focused on entertainment and brand licensing, management and production and new business ventures. His clients included Revolution Studios ("Hellboy," "Rent"), Lionsgate Entertainment (the "Saw" franchise, "Reservoir Dogs," Frank Miller's upcoming feature "The Spirit"), Starz Media, D3 Publishers of America, Avalon Comics and other independent artists, writers and content creators.

"(Binder) possesses the relationships and experience needed to maximize the quality product we look forward to producing as part of the next generation of licensing," Halcyon co-CEOs Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson said.
