In New York, Marc Jacobs sent models down his runway with nearly noir lips — not to mention severe elongated eyebrows, silvery shadow and pale matte skin — thanks to Francois Nars and his NARS Train Bleu Velvet Matte Lip Pencil.

In London, the style picked up steam. At Giles, Kendall Jenner, Edie Campbell and Lily Donaldson, along with a post-transition Andreja Pejic, wore blacked-out lips, again with goth porcelain skin and bold brows. The rest of the look by makeup artist Lucia Pieroni was clean and bare, allowing their glossy, deeply pigmented patent pouts to stand out. The recipe? A mix of MAC Ebony Pencil, Pro Lipmix in black and burgundy and clear gloss.

This punkish showing paired a midnight-hued mouth with minimal eye makeup, flat and center-parted hair and wide chokers.
