Black Viewers: A Daytime TV Battleground

Steve Harvey's talk-show success highlights the daytime power of blacks, who make up 13 percent of the U.S. population but 18 percent of daytime viewers. While not a necessary demo for success (consider the tiny black audiences for Ellen and Katie), hits Maury and Jerry Springer lure about 50 percent blacks.
