'Blade Runner' Returning to U.K. Cinemas
The British Film Institute will rerelease Ridley Scott's 2007 final cut of the cult classic
The British Film Institute is rereleasing Ridley Scott's final cut of Blade Runner in U.K. cinemas.
The 1982 cult sci-fi classic, which Scott gave his own definitive twist to in 2007 (he didn’t have direct control over a 1992 director's cut release), will hit theaters on Dec. 14 as part of the BFI's ongoing "Sci-Fi: Days of Fear and Wonder" series before getting a general release on Apr. 3, 2015.

In May, it was revealed that Scott was attached to the long-rumored sequel from a script written by Michael Green and original co-writer Hampton Fancher. Alcon Entertainment said they were hoping Harrison Ford would reprise his role of Rick Deckard.
"If it's a good script, I would be very anxious to work with Ridley Scott again," Ford had said earlier in the year in a Reddit AMA session.
